The "Pine Leaf Boys" Hype Intro

"Tonight, we’re bringing it all back home...

Now, when you hear about this band, people like to try and put 'em in a box. They want to call it just one thing. But these guys never wanted their music to be a museum piece gathering dust. They believe Louisiana music is a living, breathing thing—too big and too soulful to be contained...

At the heart of it all, you’re getting world-class Cajun and Zydeco—those deep grooves from the swamps and prairies that’ll have you shaking a leg before you even know what hit you. But they’ve poured in everything else they love, too. You’re going to hear the lonesome country soul of Cajun French mixing with the lonesome howls of Hank Williams, the raw bluesy grit of Jerry Lee Lewis, and the fire of early Rock ‘n’ Roll.

It’s a tribute to every sound that ever shaped the spirit of Louisiana. Please help me welcome to the stage..."
The Pine Leaf Boys: Louisiana’s Global Ambassadors
20 years, 1 Grammy WIN (Wilson Savoy Regional Roots 2012), 4 Grammy Nominations, 6 U.S. State Departments: Louisiana’s finest, the world-renowned Pine Leaf Boys, have built a legacy on a signature brand of music delivered with unmatched youthful exuberance. While they are celebrated as the premiere torchbearers of Cajun and Zydeco, their sound is a deep-dive into the full spectrum of Louisiana’s musical heritage—blending Swamp-Pop, Soul, and high-octane Rock ‘n’ Roll.

From Campus Rebels to Global Icons
What began in 2004 as a group of friends getting kicked off their Lafayette college campus for busking has evolved into one of the most decorated bands in the genre. To date, the Pine Leaf Boys have secured four Grammy nominations, while bandleader Wilson Savoy has garnered a Grammy win of his own. Their mission has taken them far beyond the bayou; at the invitation of the U.S. State Department, they have completed six international tours, bringing the spirit of Louisiana to 23 countries across Europe and Asia.

A Masterclass in Genre-Bending
The Pine Leaf Boys offer more than just a dance hall beat; they pay homage to the icons who shaped the American South. Their sets seamlessly pivot from the Classic Country soul of Hank Williams and George Jones to the wild energy of Jerry Lee Lewis-style Rock ‘n’ Roll.
A highlight of their performance occurs when Wilson Savoy moves to the keys. His piano style is a virtuosic collision of influences—a "Triple-Threat" sound where the soul of Ray Charles meets the fire of Jerry Lee Lewis and the accordion-driven grit of Clifton Chenier.
