PAUL
DAIGLE & MITCH REED
In October of 2004, Paul Daigle and Mitch Reed accompanied Wilson on a 2 week trip to France. Together they formed "The Church Point Aces," a rocking 3 piece Cajun band that toured western France and Paris, as well as the area around Lyon. It's not often that we combine two greats in Cajun music in the same pick of the week, but after we found this picture (see left), we knew it was a sign from God that, as in the band itself, they need to spoken about in the same sentence, for in many ways, they are much alike as they are complete opposites. Get it? I didn't think so. Read on. One interesting aspect of the band is this haunting photo at the bottom. There are four things that have been digitally altered to make this band a reality. 1) Wilson wasn't holding a guitar in the original, 2) Mitch sneezed in the original and needed a head transplant, 3) There was a fourth person, and 4) Paul wasn't even there in the original!! This picture is the essence of the band - something wonderful that could never exist without a computer (being that all the music was backed up by computer drums beats and synthesizer string orchestras).
