PAUL DAIGLE & MITCH REED

In October of 2004, Paul Daigle and Mitch Reed accompanied Wilson on a 2 week trip to France. Together they formed "The Church Point Aces," a rocking 3 piece Cajun band that toured western France and Paris, as well as the area around Lyon.

It's not often that we combine two greats in Cajun music in the same pick of the week, but after we found this picture (see left), we knew it was a sign from God that, as in the band itself, they need to spoken about in the same sentence, for in many ways, they are much alike as they are complete opposites. Get it? I didn't think so. Read on.

One interesting aspect of the band is this haunting photo at the bottom. There are four things that have been digitally altered to make this band a reality. 1) Wilson wasn't holding a guitar in the original, 2) Mitch sneezed in the original and needed a head transplant, 3) There was a fourth person, and 4) Paul wasn't even there in the original!! This picture is the essence of the band - something wonderful that could never exist without a computer (being that all the music was backed up by computer drums beats and synthesizer string orchestras).

Three words that describe this honorary PLB of the week:

Ludicrous ,nine days' wonder, stupefying
Why does this person deserve to be a PLB of the week?

These two guys will be among the legends of our era, so why the hell not? And, also, Wilson happened to be in this picture, which will undoubtedly pull him into the same catagory of awesomeness.

Favorite Foods? Coffee. COFFEE, black.
Favorite Songs? Anything by Black Sabboth or Amede Ardoin
Pet Peeves? Small trucks and guys who jump up on stage and try to play the triangle or clap their hands with the band. Why do they do that? Why do they want to suck like that?
Favorite Places? Gerard Dole's house, small nooks in the ceiling where I can escape from all the racket!
Favorite Movies? Napoleon Dynamite & Lord of the Rings
Words of Wisdom? A nickel spent is a nickel wasted. A nickel thrown at somebody really hard is a nickel well used, for laughter at another person's expense is the best medicine!
Coolest thing in the world? Speedos and video games, big trucks and Killian's Irish Red.
What people think when they meet us: Together, why?
Last words? "Before we blast off into the next song...", "Dude, that is so wild!"
