Pine Leaf Boys

Steve Riley

For our first week of the "Pine Leaf of the Week," we've decided to honor our very own Steve Riley, accordion player with the Mamou Playboys. Some ask, "Why not reward one of our own Pine Leaf Boys, like Drew or Cedric?" The answer: Steve Riley. There is no other answer. Steve, genial song writer, musician, and hell of a good guy, deserves more than he is credited, and we're going to see to it that he at least is recognized by the Pine Leaf Boys.

In the next few weeks, we will honor and reward one of our heroes who in some way has contributed to our existence. Stay tuned every Monday for the new pick of the week. Who knows? It might even be you!

All of the below information may or may not be accurate, and we've taken little or no caution in trying to get it right. Any truth is purely coincidence and should be regarded light-heartedly. In fact, the person had no input in response to these questions.

Three words that describe this honorary PLB of the week:

Obsequious, Unostentatious, and Tractable

Why does this person deserve to be a PLB of the week? Because he's flippin' Steve Riley, and he's a good sport and a hell of a harpsichord player.
