FAKE bios
We stress FAKE because these bios are not real. A particular festival, when searching for bios for the Pine Leaf Boys, used Cedric's fake bio below saying that, "If you are not familiar with Cedric's music, you may know it from the Chili's Theme Song."
Drew
Simon, drums and accordion, was raised in Lafayette,
Louisiana and has played Cajun music since he was an
old, old man. Because he lives his life in reverse,
like Merlin the Magician, he has played nearly all his
old life and studied in depth the singing styles of
the Freischen Brothers, who are, in our world, yet to
be born. Drew can play any instrument very well, but
his forté is, of course, the dulcimer. Many people
are unaware that the legendary Lawrence Walker played
dulcimer and recorded, "Un tit craut sec"
in the '50s. He lived in Tuva, near Mongolia, for several
years, where he studied Tuvan Throat Singing with Chïng
Moegin. Earlier, he ended his musical career playing
drums with his brother in a local band named "Acadien",
and today plays drums, guitar, and specializes in exorcism.
He is also a Chip & Dale dancer and likes the number
three. |
Cedric
Watson built his first fiddle out of a micro-machine
at the age of 12, under the supervision of his son-in-law-in-law.
He began his musical career as a cook in Chili's Steak
House, where he supposedly composed the hit song, "I
want my baby... my baby... my baby back ribs."
Today, he is seen around Lafayette, asking random questions
regarding sweet nothings. Cedric Watson is a black guy
and likes giblets. He also is an actor in the upcoming
film by Chas Justice, "Evangeline: The True Story
of an 18-year-old Girl." |
Wilson
Savoy doesn't play anything. The accordion
player in the Pine Leaf Boys is really a German exchange
student named Denischen who studied accordion with Marc
Savoy. It just so happened that he resembled Marc Savoy
and took the title, "son of Marc," or, "Marc
lite." The real Wilson Savoy works for the Lafayette
Tourist Commission as a model for I-10 billboards. He's
also a woman and likes Blackberries. |
Jon
(Jean) Simon Bertand, guitar, was raised in
Crapeauville near Elton. After receiving numerous blows
to the skull by various large farm animals, he decided
to become a musician with the Lost Bayou Ramblers (see
below). But after a month of touring with them, he become
nostalgic for his lost days of beatings, so he became
a boxer by day. "The Cajun Mohawk" is what
the masses named him, and once again, his heart become
content (as well as severely damaged) with thrashings
in the ring. He promised his girlfriend he'd stop boxing
as soon as his hair grew out and became the curly locks
of charm he once possessed. Now he sports a mullet and
owns a Border Collie named Luke. He is also the alleged
brother of Drew Simon, and for this he is, quote, "so
mad..." He has played guitar for about 5 years,
or something, and likes the song, "I done quit
my cattin' around/Salty Dog." |
Blake
"Miller, drink" Miller, upright &
electric bass, is the star of the fantastic movie, Troy.
He began his musical career as a "Staff musician"
with Brandon Moreauxeau-oh in the band, "Balfa
Forever." After being sued by another band with
a name very similar to that, Blake got ripped and grew
long, sexy hair, and became a bass player in a rock
band called, "The Fig Leaf Boys," who later
became known as the Pine Leaf Boys. He also plays the
piano, which his grandfather lovingly responds, "He
can stick it up his ass." |
